Accessibility
Listening support should remain usable support
We are working toward WCAG 2.2 AA and test core journeys with keyboard navigation, zoom, narrow screens and assistive-technology-friendly labels. This is a target, not a claim that every historical page already conforms fully.
What the site is designed to support
- Keyboard access and visible focus for main controls.
- Text transcripts as an alternative and complement to audio.
- Selectable text, readable web versions and printable PDFs.
- Reduced-motion preferences and layouts that reflow on mobile.
- Right-to-left direction for Persian support content.
Known limitations
Some older Idiom Toolbox pages and downloadable documents may not yet offer the same structure as the newest episode and resource templates. Third-party audio or video controls can also behave differently across browsers.
If something blocks you
Please include the page address, the control or file that failed, your browser and—if relevant—the assistive technology you use. The contact page lists the currently available public feedback channels.
